and I danced
as my feet were moved
by the pulsating earth;
my soles were bells
on her joyous feet.

Love

love is the wind
who kisses autumn leaves,
mates with the bamboo,
and holds the ocean
as she heaves.

love is the fire
who sets aflame all forms,
the light of passion
born on a dark night,
trust in a new dawn.

love is the water
who flows through
a fisted hand,
sacred dew for a parched throat,
tears of longing, waves of calm.

love is the elusive ether
who whispers to your soul,
the soothing music
of riveting silence,
the endless black hole.

love is the terra firma
who gives you wings to rise and fly,
the warm hearth to rest your weary form,
the dark womb that nurtures
new seeds of endless love.

Owning My Power

My breath holds
the primordial fire
of a million stars,
the waters and winds
that flow from every nook -
both near and far,
the restless earth
that sustains
all of creation,
sprinkled with
magical stardust
for every occasion;
when I breathe in,
I am nourished
by the infinite cosmos;
when I breathe out
I sustain the power
of endless love;
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
Flow in.
Flow out.
To wherever life takes me
on the wings of love.

Peace

a small white dove
grows wings
that expand
with every breath -
yours and mine,
to embrace
our world,
with gentle love,
and carry it forth
into the Light.

30 square feet

30 square feet
yes, that's about all -
my little piece
of heaven and earth;
my window to
the sky, the sea,
and passing clouds
as I weave dreams;
the trees, the birds,
my plants, and weeds;
I have it all -
what more do I need?
a little patch
of morning sunshine,
a cosy space
for evening blues,
where I fill and empty
myself too;
yes, 30 square feet
to peep in, look out,
give grace for all
that I have and not.

I'll meet you there

I'll meet you there
where the earth and sky
empty themselves
into the misty grey void;
where thoughts rest awhile,
and dreams don't fly,
walls cast their form,
and tides don't rise;
I'll meet you there
where the sun and moon
hold hands and stand
to rejoice at noon.
