I know
a little flower
who's taken years
to bloom,
she's ready now
to unfold
her creased petals;
weighed down
by darkness,
she still found
the space
to grow,
without light
and love.
a little flower
who's taken years
to bloom,
she's ready now
to unfold
her creased petals;
weighed down
by darkness,
she still found
the space
to grow,

This sounds like a poem for a poem to me :).....from a dear friend...words that hold a simple, profound truth that we often don't see....yes, we all truly get what we really need...
ReplyDelete"If only the flower could see
that like countless ferns n flowers
that grow in murky dark caves,
it would have died
in sunlight."
