the silver in your crown,
the wrinkles in your face,
and eyes forlorn.

the gold in your teeth,
the salt and pepper moustache
stretched between your cheeks.
I love you beyond
the embers that stain,
when anger has burnt out,
and nothing else remains.
I love you beyond
everything that I see,
when I feel your love
